Changing Times-Changing Worlds is a conference for exploration of metaphysical topics including energy healing, divination, spiritual practice and folklore, as well as creating connections between the many groups that study and practice in these areas. Our aim is to break down barriers to acceptance and communication, and advance our knowledge of the paranormal and spiritual. At this conference we explore all things metaphysical: healing, divination, energy work, manifestation, spiritual practices, folklore, and all the many parts of the whole that make up life.
Join us at the Crowne Plaza in Cromwell, Connecticut, November 7-9, 2014. Workshops start Friday morning and end at 11 p.m., run 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and 10 to 4 on Sunday. There will be workshops, panels, discussions, healing sessions, psychic readers, vendors, and occasional lighter entertainment, with breaks to talk, eat, and shop. We have advanced material for experienced practitioners looking to expand their skills, as well as introductory classes for those just discovering a new form. Registration for all three days is $75 at the door, with discounts available for elders, students, groups, and early registration. Contact us to find out more.
This stuff is real!
It’s time we stopped treating the unknown as the Victorians treated sex. While it’s a natural thing most people do (have inexplicable intuitions, heal, etc.), it’s not polite to admit it or talk about it in public. Until we can talk about it, how can we learn to make it useful? While modern culture officially discounts the “paranormal”, individuals (event by “inexplicable” event) discover that even in the modern computer-driven world, other tools and methods work, have worked in the past, and will serve us now: dowsing for water, minerals or disease, healing with the energy our bodies and spirits create, communicating to beings we cannot see, learning about things beyond the range of our senses, having physical effects on things with which we have no physical contact.
For decades we’ve struggled to reconcile the reality of our personal experiences with the wholesale rejection of anything to do with spirit by the modern scientific paradigm; we seek evidence that we’re not foolish, gullible, or deluded. It’s no longer satisfying just to try to prove to ourselves and other doubters that these things are real, we have seen that they are. Now we want to know how to make them work for us- how to help us heal our selves and our friends, how to find the most effective use of our talents and energies, how to make the world a better place, how to live in harmony with the beings around us whether the people and animals who share our world, or the spirits for “other worlds”.
Next year our Theme will be Cycles and Movement.
Join us in a weekend of workshops and panels covering healing, divination, religion and spirituality, energy use, and (dare we say) magic? As beings of spirit and body, it’s time to stop dreaming about our non-physical abilities and learn to use them: safely, ethically, responsibly, and practically.
